Sex on the Beach is one of the most popular drinks in the world. In the classic version, this drink is made of a combination of orange and cranberry juice, accompanied by vodka and peach liqueur. The sweet and sour taste is refreshing and energizing at the same time. And many consider it, as the name suggests, an aphrodisiac. According to the most commonly cited story, the Sex on the Beach drink was probably created in 1987, when bartender Ted Pizio working in a bar in Florida entered a competition for a cocktail with peach liqueur. He combined this liqueur with vodka and juice, and his original drink gained immense popularity.
Recipe:
- 40 ml of vodka
- 20 ml of peach liqueur
- 40 ml of orange juice
- 40 ml of cranberry juice
- 4-5 ice cubes
Pour orange juice and peach liqueur into a glass filled with ice cubes and mix thoroughly. Pour cranberry juice into a shaker with a few ice cubes, then add Koneser vodka and mix vigorously. Slowly pour the vodka with the juice into the glass with the previously prepared juice mixed with the liqueur. This will make the drink double layered. If we don’t pay attention to it or we don’t have a shaker, we can simply mix all the ingredients in a glass and decorate with a slice of orange at the end. There are many versions of this drink with slightly different composition. For example, the version with grenadine instead of cranberries is popular. So you can experiment.
